ok so it loads the game up fine and starts and i go through the intro fine at 60 fps until after she changes the channel and it loads the next screen. i still hear noise and the menu's opening and such but the screen is black?

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.

• Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  
• The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  
• Any non default settings you are using.
  
• What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

please provide your emulog and screenshot of GSdx plugin settings. did software mode help you ?
