Version 1.3.1-801 because I can't update to a newer git version without it whining that I'm missing MSVCP140.dll even though I already downloaded VS2015 (x64)
FF12 NTSC

All default settings except for:
Widescreen 16:9
MTVU Hack (shadow is there with or without it but I enabled it and went down from 6x res. to 4x after my fps dropped during the first boss' entrance animation)

I'm not sure how to make the pictures thumbnails so I just posted links instead of resizing after inserting an image into the post. That shadow only appears in cutscenes and always has that same shape around some character. It does not show up in native resolution but I don't want eye cancer so I prefer to play at higher resolutions.  It's very rare and a minor detail but I'd like to play without it if possible. Thanks in advance.

pcsx2 is an X86 application, not x64

what if you set internal res to 4x only ? (without other options like shaders)
why are you using d3d9 since your GPU is obviously dx11 capable ?
I don't have that issue in the cutscenes..

It's probably the D3D9 causing it. Use D3D11 HW like jes mentioned.
Perfect! I updated to 1.3.1-1473 and switched to D11 but kept the other settings the same and the shadow is gone. I switched to D9 when I played GoW2 because the game ran noticeably better for some reason. I forgot to switch back to D11 after that. Thanks Jes!
