every time i save and then load i get a corrupted data error

i tested on official versions 1.0.0, 1.4.0, and the newest GIT version v1.5.0-dev-732-g5ecbc28 and i tested using 8MB memory card as well as the folder type memory card, on 1.4.0 i tested using every MC type including 16/32MB etc. all versions were tested as newly installed copies of PCSX2

i already tried all of the suggestions from this thread

this is weird. how did you make your iso ?
did you modify it ?

i have no idea how i made it anymore but whatever i used worked on all the other ps2 games i ripped. i also have an edited version of the game that i know i used whatever PS2 tools (maybe ps2gen or something) that existed to make a combined version of DW3 and DW3XL to get around swapping discs and it has the same CRC. everything works perfectly fine on a hardware PS2 though, and from what i looked up DW3XL has some anti-cheat protection on it that is supposed to corrupt data if you used a cheat device

Look below
ELF (cdrom0:\SLUS_206.17;1) Game CRC = 0xC22D5152, EntryPoint = 0x00100008
And about what you are wondering....this happens when you use full boot...it get the crc later when it boot the game

i only use fastboot so i'm not sure what to say
I just tested this with the PAL version of the game and saving/loading worked fine with both folder memcard and normal ones. I only tested it in the menu but it should be the same throughout the game.
Did you try saving in a new blank memory card? Are you using save states?
What is the exact error message you see? Does the game display it or PCSX2?

the game gives a corrupted data message, but it doesn't always work from the save/load menu. the easiest way to test it is to save from the save/load screen and then reboot the game and once the game tries to pre-load the data it'll complain. and yes i've tested using multiple new memory card types, no save state usage

i'm also using the USA/NTSC version of the game
I started having this problem as well, and finally just realized it's since I upgraded to 1.4.0. I switched back to 1.2.1 and now the exact same save works just fine. So something changed in between that broke this. It is of note that I am using a modified ISO to import the "original" game features, as described here:

https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Dynasty-...lem-SOLVED

I have not confirmed whether an untouched DW3XL iso is also unable to read the save or not.

I saw someone mention in another thread about Koei putting some sort of cheat protection in this game so that could also be a factor. Just wanted share what worked for me and info that I have gathered.
