im new to the fourm and if i posted this in the wrong section please tell me but anyways i have a dell laptop with a intel core i7 5500u 5th gen processor clocked at 3 ghz and 8 gigs of sdrimm and i have a nvidia 920m with windows 8.1 pro and i was wondering if this is enough to run it if not i plan to buy a gaming laptop instead
The cpu is at the recommended minimum at str for most 3d games
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu...+@+2.40GHz

Here is one nice list of cpus
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/singleThread.html
the higher the number, the better it will perform with emulators

ok thanks ill look into it but also my cpu has 3 ghz on overclock speed so is that enough to play with the emulator or would i need more processing power than ram
The difference with that overclock will not be that big,you will still be in the minimum requirement area for most 3d games
And no ram doesn't matter, you can play even with less than 4gb.
The video card is also weak

really i can play alot of my games just fine and even on the dolphin fourms they say the 920m is fine with the emulator also i can play gta v and other big games fine with the 920 m
GTA V isn't a PS2 game, and Dolphin is another different piece of software.
The comparison with pcsx2 is irrelevant
Yes you can but it's on the level on my HD4600 and that card is around 5 times weaker than my cheap GTX750TI.
I tried HD4600 couple of times on pcsx2 and the result was rarely something good while using anything other than native resolution.
