Full Version: Is my PC too slow for PCSX2 ?

First of all i'm very new to this website and to Playstation 2 in general so I present you my apologies in advance for all the mistakes i will comit in my first post ever ! Also i'm French so sorry for bad english ! 
SO here it is, I have a laptop Alienware 13 with a pretty good hardware and it can run recent game as the Witchher 3 pretty decently here's my specs:
CPU: intel core i5-4210U with 1.70GHz dual core
Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M
Running on Windows 10 (tell me if you need more infortmation about my set up)

I only tried to run Tony Hawk's underground and The Amazing Spider-Man. I've followed a few tuto but nothing works correctly and I absolutely don't know what I am doing  Wacko 
I just need to know if my pc can run or not this emulator because even if it has good specs I know that laptop are not recommended for emulating but I know that my pc can run beautiful PC games ! So if it can would you accept to help me on the fabulous way of emulating ?

with an STR of 1447, your CPU isn't the best to perform pcsx2 emulation, for sure.

What do you mean by "not correctly" ?

because you have a good GPU. but Emulation relies more on CPU

Thank you for answering this fast ! By nothings works correctly I meant that games runs on 10 fps and lots of texture bugs.

Sorry for double post but I've already red this and I don't understand how I can properly configure the emulator
In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using.
  • What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.
