i wonder, since ps2 cpu is only 300MHZ. how can it run games smoother than pxsc2 emulator on a Q6600 CPU 9800GTX machine? what do consoles have that emulators dont?Unsure
they have the hardware while emulators don't Laugh (the problem is trying to emulate 7 different cpus on a cpu (that might be 2 or 4 cores) Smile)

Short answer: PS2 games were made to work on one set of hardware. Those titles were designed specifically around that hardware.

Your PC is not a PS2, so it has to put a lot of work into trying to be one.

While a suped-up corvette might have a stronger engine than a beaten-up old tow truck, it's not as suited at pulling cars.
A slightly better short answer is that console processors work very differently from PC processors and rarely follow the same instructions and coding. Plus, the emulator works by having your single PC processor do the work of several different hardware pieces in the PS2
