Full Version: Ratchet and Clank 3/UYA Daxx Freeze Issue.

I tried asking for help on a topic someone else brought up (http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Ratchet-C...axx-Freeze) but it appears people would rather cry over stupid crap and delete the comments. So here's the "separate thread" you asked for so badly (I still cannot see the point in 2 threads with the same issue if neither get resolved).

Anyways, playing through Ratchet and Clank 3, planet Daxx seems to freeze a lot, I'm fairly certain it's those minigun robots that fly, but it also occured nearby the docks area miniboss. my fustration with this issue is beginning to increase seeing as how I played through the first 2 games with the same settings with ease, this one played well until this bloody level.

Here's the log.

glad you finally got a bit of education kiddo Smile

Do you get the same problem when running the game from original DVD instead of iso ?
care to post the emulog .txt when doing so ?
2 things you can try -

Play the game using the native 16:9 support instead of using Widescreen patches, or try the EE Timing Hack found under Config > Emulation Settings > Game Fixes.
C:\Users\Owner\Documents\PCSX2\isos\Ratchet & Clank - Up Your Arsenal (USA) (En,Fr,Es).iso
Pirated iso, that's your problem.
If you want to play ps2 games on pcsx2, you must have the disc and (or) rip it (and they are not expensive today).
Let's close the topic.
(and by the way I don't have crash on DAXX and in the entire game).

Strange..
I suspect a pirated bios also (maybe unrelated).
Well *****, I didn't realize that : I I honestly get games from *snip* and I assumed it was a pool of people uploading legit copies (until now I didn't know pirated isos were a thing). I don't actually know how to get the bios from my old Playstation, I'm kind of a skrub at that. I have old discs of the first 4 games (sadly R&C1 and GC don't work).
If your discs are scratched, you can Repaired them in some stores.
And for the bios, some tuto are on internet, just type: "dump ps2 bios" on Google (wich is your friend).
