I noticed JakeStine did a lot of work on the "emitter" over the last weeks.
Can it be explained what it does in simple terms?

you need to lay off the wiki, thats not even remotely close


The emitter: Part of the eerec/vurec code that tells your processor exactly what it wants to do in VERY simple terms (as far as the processor is concerned)

And in term on speed, a large gain or is minimal?

minimal at this point. The changes were merely to make the emitter more flexable, which means in the future we could make some of the commands in the eerec or vurec shorter, which will in turn benefit the speed
