When i am trying to run the pcsx 2.0.9.6 get error directx not installed but system has 9.0c already installed.

I need help in playing the PS2 games on my pc and I am a new to this.
Would appreciate help in a simple and lucid manner.

Computer configuration: Core 2 duo : 2.4 Ghz, RAM 4gb,
Mobo: Asus P5N-MX with onboard graphics 7050/610i.

Go to microsoft's website and run the directx web updater to get the March 2009 update.
