My question is that I have been playing WOW with max setting and GTA 4 with max setting with very good frame rates, but why is the frame rate pretty low for pcsx2 game? The only game I have tried so far is Dragon Quest VIII. I have followed the instruction of setting up the graphic from this website. I made resolution windowed but wasn't sure about the d3d internal res. I noticed that people have been talking about the d3d internal res and how it can juice up the graphic significantly. I tried to setup my to 2720X1700, but then the game become almost unplayable with average frame rate of 15, with all the choppiness and music skipping. I then change the res to 1920X1200, which is my screen`s naive resolution. The game had a average frame rate of 60- 45, with a occasional s.lowdown. However, the game appears to be a bit blurry and not as pretty as before. Anyone know what`s the problem? Is my laptop spec not good enough for a higher internal resolution? I saw people had resolution up to 3400x3200 or something like that and still be able to run the game smoothly. This concerns me because my Graphic card is suppose to be pretty good? Thanks for the help!
Firstly, do not compare PC gaming to PCSX2, the two are completely different, its like saying "sewage isnt as tastey as cheese, why not?".

As for the blurriness and framerates we need your plugin settings. However do not use rediculously high resolutions like 2720x1700, you then require a few GB in video card memory for it to process and this will be exceptionally slow, not to mention un-noticable if you have gsdx set above your monitor's resolution, especially if you are in windowed mode!

Other advice, grab the latest GSDX and latest PCSX2 beta. The new "8bit textures" option in GSDX may help you.
Try to reduce the resolution. I play in 1440*900 on my laptop and it's just great with 0.9.6 PCSX2. With the new beta I can't play any games, I get chopped geometry all over the screen. It works for me only in software rendering mode, which is pretty slow.
Just set to native res or midle res at 1280x1024 or 1650x1080 max for this game, see at grapich card control panel or gsdx windows bar, if process gpu get exceed at 99% then you gpu become bottleneck so lower you res.
