I've configured the settings multiple times but it keeps saying I need to configure them when I try to run a game, I need help! D:
PCSX2 FAQ Wrote:My settings are not being saved / Error creating memcard

Right click on pcsx2.exe and select 'Run as administrator' (Vista only) and/or install PCSX2 on a folder you have rights to write (like My Documents)
Well I have administrator priveleges though. Should I try moving it to my documents?
if you're on vista, and UAC is ENABLED you MUST run pcsx2 as admin
it has got nothing to do with your account being a member of the admin group, the user account control of vista/win7 even limits the priviliges of admin accounts. so you either have to disable uac completely or you'll have to start the pcsx2.exe with the "right click->run as admin" command to give pcsx2 full access to it's subfolders. and yes, moving it to "my documents" might might be necessary, too Wink
I got it to work thanks.

But now i've got a new problem, when I try to play KH1 the frame rate jumps about widly. At times it'll be higher then 100% at other times it'll be a low low 20%. I tried different combinations with the speed hacks and nothing works, any help?
well, what are your specs? do you run the game with the disc in your drive or from hdd? are there specific scenes where these slowdowns occur or is it jumping from 100% to 20% all the time? and if you currently use the latest stable 0.9.6 version of pcsx2, then grab the latest beta of it from here (get the full installer package).
If I knew how to check specs I would, but I don't.

I run it using ISO, not disc.

It slows down and speeds up all the time.

I also have the full installed version of pcsx2 installed, latest version.
Anyone?
start->run->dxdiag is all you need to find out the most important specs like processor, ram, graphics card and operating system. and screenshots of your complete config would be very helpful.
