I have ASROCK P45XE , its not DFI LAN Party, but its also very nice for OC
I guess its a combination of good revision + low VID to see you through..
That should be like that .. but i know poeple with much higher vid than mine and they OC'ed much better
So i think thats another Myth
Okay ! About the motherboard ... i intend to Buy a G31 Gigabyte, what do you guys think ? and another CPU Choice Could be E8400 it's 3GHZ but it'll be great if i OC it to 4GHZ Tongue , So ??
no no no !!! g31 is good for office not for any OC, you can OC on it but not much. If u think about OC never go for g31
G31 would also include on-board graphics, so avoid that even more.
Go for something like a decent P43 board, good overclocking but more limited by FSB, or at least less stable on higher FSB that a P45.
Obvious choice, depending on what cash you have and whats available where you are, is a good P45 board, Asus, Gigabyte, DFi, all make some good P45 boards. Great overclocking, high fsb reaching 500x4 and above with ease giving more options for o/c.

Also, don't assume a quad core will be a better choice than a good dual core, if we're talking about Pcsx2. That Q9400 has a 8x multi, so to get a decent overclock you'll need a high fsb. I know one person running one of these on a ASUS P5E3 Deluxe, and with a 450fsb he manage to reach 3.6ghz with 1.35v, but anything higher required 1.4v and he couldn't get the CPU stable at even 3.75ghz, although this could have been his motherboard hitting a fsb wall. But even at 3.5ghz he is well off my 4ghz E7500, and that cost me half of what he paid for his 9400, and I still haven't really pushed this cpu, yet.

BTW, low VID is NOT a myth for good overclocking. Google low VID overclocking and you'll get plenty of info on the subject. That doesn't mean a high VID results in a poor o/c, but that you have to go that bit extra to get there, and it's still more of a lottery.
