Its ok,give us a hug! Hah jk Tongue
Well i cant afford much of the consoles so im going around the exprnsive way
well this Java made emulator is preety fine but speedwise this is just a bit too slow the C version PCSP is better although not as updated as this one I mean Playin puzzle buble pocket on both them and clearly you will know the winner when it comes to speed [like 35fps vs 80fps] but the PCSP does not have any sound and save yet

i can't understand why did they choose the slowest language for an emulator??????!!!!!!

if, the answer is...
jpcsp dev team:-"because it was easier in the beginning,"
than please leave the java project and continue the pcsp

I bet they choose java for the challenge.
Anyway, if the pace on JPCSP continues, then it won't matter what language it's written in.
It'll prolly be fast enough one day.

Btw, the C port is faster because it's missing features. No sound = no media engine processor, I believe Wink

actually on newest screenshots and test they have conducted they have finally managed to add sound in a few games and yet the FPS is still more than full speed compare to the Slug java counterpart that wont even get past 40fps on the same sets of game's and they have not released anything yet that last one was just a Frontend for Pcsp but I think I read back at thier forums that they are closing in the release of a new beta

PS: actually Super fruit fall is fully playable and is on Full speed and sound/save capable based on a test a friend of mine did on his PC it actually played very well in his non OC'ed E2200 with 2g ram and 8500gt PC
and compared performance against the java Version and Yeah the PCSP wins without a doubt it barely even made it to 25fps on the java one
After yesterday a friend of mine got the emulator, hes got 3 games,he tried to run them on PSP
And niether of them worked all of them didnt start
"BOOT.BIN is incrypted, this can be decrypted only by a real PSP"
Hopefully this will be removed.Cuz some games are like that

I prepared a long reply to your apples and oranges comparison, but to heck with it.
You are doing FPS comparisons of 2 very early emulators, then base the poorer performance of JPCSP
solely on it being written in Java. That's just so wrong I won't bother anymore.

Cya again in 3 years when the emulator is better, and runs games at 300fps anyway Wink
