I tried the android x86 os verzion.. It's sssssssssssssssoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ccccccccoooooooooooolllllllllll

very fast, and the size of the iso is smaller than 200 MB.

For the old, very old computers is super!!!!!!

I have an old desktop computer and i decided to try, the live os version...

i made a bootable pendrive and ran it.......

here is what i did:

So, the result : first my desktop pc spec 700Mhz, 256 mb ram,4 gb memory

i can play HD videos on youtube in 1080p, and paly all music and video formatums, and i can download and intall apps from the Android web store..

I intalled the fpse and it ran at full speed!!!!!!! 

2 years ago when i tried the epsxe it was so slow, and unplayable…

And the designed is awesome, maybe the android is the europe version of the apple.

Furthermore i didn’t konw but, that version which i tried was the Android 4.0.3……

the conclusion: the android is a cool os even on Desktop pc. And i think there is a way to play ps2 games on android, if the dev team focus only the 2d games (the 3d would be very difficult still, but on desktop pc…so i don’t know )…

here is the Android Project link

When I had a netbook that would fold into a tablet, I tried that Android x86 on it last year. It had trouble with things like finding the camera, connecting to the Android market, and etc.

It's a cool toy to play with, but all in all, it really is kind of worthless at this point.
So basically a linux with smartphone apps. I'll stick with slitaz for lightweight distro, 30MB of goodness.
guys i don't know this game but it works perefectly on my old pc.

this isn't my video..
An operating system where users do not need to close their running programs. An operating system where users does not have administrative priviledge. An operating system where you can't uninstall the crappy software bundle with it... etc.

Android is an operating system designed for noobs. That's all I can say 'bout it.
No it's designed for tablet, and it does a pretty good thing at it. But having it on desktop is just dumb.

That's understandable when your knowledge of it is limited. ;P

Android allows users to close running applications or choose to leave them running. I don't understand why that's a bad thing, or even abnormal. I've somehow managed to not have a bunch of crap bloatware on my phone, with the exception of a few things that I personally had no use for (which I uninstalled). Also-- Superuser seems to do the trick for access rights.

I pretty sure most all op systems are designed for noobs on some level. User-friendlyness is kinda a good thing, anyways.
absolutely. most operating systems are designed for people that don't (want to) know they are operating a system. i mean in almost the same manner you don't care about its technical details when using a light switch as long as it does what it's supposed to, right?
Agreed...

Some people also don't even read the product manuals and later asking something common again and again...
woah, really? how infamous. i also heard that some people on the internet don't read the faqs and stickies before posting! crazy times... Laugh
