Hey guys my dad has a computer that he might give me... because he's getting a new one can you guys tell me if its good and what kind of games i can run? Im sort of looking for it to play in hd or atleast 3x native... With games such as FF, Persona, and Kingdom hearts.

The computer specs:
Processor:AMD Phenom™ II x6 1045T 2.70GHz
Ram:8 GB
System:64-Bit OS
Graphic Card:AMD Radeon HD 6450
With that graphics card, you can only hit 2x Native max with/without lag...

So its the graphic card? If so can you reccomend me one? I'd buy a new one if thats the case
Sorry, recommending products is not my expertise, wait for another member to reply... Tongue

Also, I apologize for late notification, that processor also will bottleneck your performance as AMD processor's performance with PCSX2 are somewhat mediocre...

Just try to run your games first, then report back if you got problems...
Ahh i see...well okay i guess ill wait for someone else to reply, i dont mind upgrading anything .

Edit: how well does ur comp run games? jw.

All completely playable (at least for games I own though Tongue)
if you can build a pc from scratch go with intel(i5 for budget, i7 for no expences), if your stuck on amd stay with the phenom series buldozer is just awfull.

videocard wise, go with nvidea not because its a fanboyinsm but pcsx2 likes nvidea cards and in general they are the better choice as of late. (amd is smuggling with picture quality to get more frames of its cards for example)

4/6gb ram is enough to do the heavy duty for gaming on pc as well, just make sure they are in either double or triple channel (look for google for more info)

example builds:

i5 2500k / i5 760 / amd phenom 980 <<< personally i go for i5 760 great processor and with good oc capabillities
6gb ddr3 << if you can set up triple channel or else you can go for 2x 4 gb for double channel.
nvidea gtx 560 tti 1gb / gtx 460 1gb version << cheap cards with high performance even more so in sli, good scaling overal but pcsx2 doesnt support sli but these cards will do the trick just fine on their own Tongue go for gtx 560 if you can its beastly for the price.
windows 7

hope i helped a bit Tongue

Maybe you're right, but maybe not. I briefly owned a Radeon HD 5450 card and was able to play in 3X native with decent speeds. I know for sure that in FFX you can play at 3X native with your card with no slow downs, and FFX-2 and FF12 at 2X native at full speed.

As far as the processor is concerned, I don't think it's that bad. If you enable the MTVU hack then you should not be bottlenecked by your cpu. I say this because I had a Phenom X4 @2.3 GhZ and when the first SVN version came out last year that had the MTVU hack I was able to get a 10 to 15 fps boost, which gave me full speed in Star Oean 3 on Native and close to full speed in 2x native (this is with Radeon HD 3200 which is an integrated card in a 780G motherboard). Once I got the HD5450 I got even better results.

If you want a new gpu I recommend getting the HD7750 or the HD7770. My current card (the HD6750) is actually just a rebranded version of the HD5750 with an updated bios. That said, it is really two generations behind the 7000 series cards, and yet I can play FF12 and Star Ocean 3 at FULL speed (60 fps) even at 6x native. I was even able to play Skyrim on UlLTRA settings with only minor lag during scenes, but no lag during gameplay. Let me tell you just how beautiful Star Ocean is at 6x native. It looks better than any PS3 game. Native resolution is 640x480, 1080P resolution is 1920x1080 and 6x native is, well, 3840x2880.

Before you get anything, though, try your current system and see if it gives you good results. Also make sure you power supply is at least 450Watt and has a 6-pin power connector for the gpu (you need this for either the 7750 or the 7770)

Thanks for reply just tried a couple games at 2x and 3x and FFX runs smooth @ 60 but in battles and walking to places it slows down to 50 and when the boss/enemy summons a magic it goes down too 20... wierd? and as for persona 3 fes it runs perfectly at 2x and some slowdowns @ 3x just depends on what scene and text bubbles... In battle it also recieve alot of slowdown as well like 40 and for kingdom hearts ahh it runs good on regular native but it sucks that it didnt perform like persona or FFX, im trying to get a HD look out of all of them and didnt like kingdom hearts at all its really too slow.
