that version of the emulator has every speed hack turned on, and you're unable to turn them off, advanced is locked, and VUskip is enabled and locked. (this is how he's running at full speed all the time, it's a hackjob at the real one here)

0.9.6 is not "that" new anymore xD. I think 9.7 is "almost" out anyway =P
I wouldn't say almost... There are still a lot of bugs in the new GUI that need working on. Many menu items still don't actually work (they are just for show). That said, there is progress being made every day.
I have tried every version of pcsx2 for many years now. It seems progress has been made; I would have to say on both the part of this Emu and today's hardware. I am having to throttle everything. thanks a bunch
