I had a look at the save that makes the error and this is the problem. In a FFX PSU save there must be three parts: the icon file, the raw save, and the sys file. In the PSU data each of these parts should be preceded by the header 0x97 0x84. In that save you posted, the icon file is preceded by the header 0x17 0x84. So when FFXED looks at the save, it doesn't detect the icon file and thus gives you the error.
New update posted. This update focuses on improving the appearance and usability of the GUI for people using non-typical look and feel (i.e. Mac users). Previously, the sizes of various components were calculated specifically for Windows look and feel. Now, they are calculated dynamically and should look good in other environments.

Since all I have is Windows XP, I would appreciate some feedback from Mac, Linux, etc users.
New version posted. I was able to address more graphical issues. More importantly, I have optimized the code and reduced the size of FFXED from 89.87 KiB to 69.44 KiB.

Minor update posted. I fixed a bug where the "Remove All" (abilities) button in the Character menu was deactivating all the stat nodes instead of the ability nodes.

I tested your save and everyone is in your party except for Tidus, just like FFXED said it should be. There is no problem.

-edit-

While testing I noticed that Valefor's weapon got overwritten. This is because your aeon equipment somehow got set to unoccupied. That is very bad because it means that all your aeon equipment will be deleted unless you fix it. Not only that, but when Valefor's weapon was overwritten, it was replaced by an armor which caused the game to crash when Valefor entered battle! I know that FFXED did not cause that problem because it forces those equipment slots to be occupied.

Uhh, that would be because Tidus does not have Break Damage Limit on his equipment. Rolleyes
how can i fix that problem i want to start playing again
Go to your aeon equipment in FFXED and press Edit. FFXED is smart and will know to set it to occupied so it won't get deleted.

It is worse than that. For some reason, all of your unused equipment slots are set to be "special". This is very bad. I think the other FFX Editor has done this.
