Sweet Jesus. 9500GT at $175... and 2.3x price of 8400 Mellow
Here in Australia, they're only $35 for 8400GS and $50 for 9500GT

In your current situation yeah go for 9500gt, its a little bottleneck for PCSX2 but not that much. For native its OK
Nornally i would never recommend 9500gt but this is kinda special.

I don't know if it'll be worth the price though. That seems a bit steep for performance which may not even be up to standard. You might want to wait for some other cards to hit the market in your country so that prices drop a bit and you get at least a 9600GT for that kind of money.

Wouldn't it be better and to bite the bullet and import from somewhere online ?
Better prices, and you should get some kind of protection anyway, never had a single problem myself, even with things going missing, I always end up getting the product or my money back.

I don't know about international shipping... not sure about customs etc. Can be quite a hassle if something does go wrong, and even though you may end up getting money back, it can take a while to go through the process. No personal experience in buying things over $10 overseas, but I have seen others buy expensive things such as SSDs and water-cooling parts, and that's from USA to Australia.

From USA to Uruguay, I wouldn't have a clue as to the shipping policy, customs requirements or reliability...

250 dollars?? why so expensive, it doesnt cost that much ..
1GB doesnt improve performance at all. Its only gives better look for high resolutions and large monitors like 22" and higher.

i already told you in this part of the world all computers parts are very expensive.but maybe i can get to a 9800,and personally i dont trust in buying things online, specially electronic ones, imagine that the gfx card that you buy just doesnt work beacuse it was broken on the package or maybe when it was send it to you so you actually have to contact the place from when do you buy the gfx card and do some transactions, get your money back, way too complicated, istead of that i preffer going in a place like 6 blocks away from my house so if i got any problems i just carry on the thing walk a bit and then i do all the transactions in a safe way in a building that i can actually see, note the that not all the internet sites for selling things are trustworthy,so if you are not very carefully you can get stolen hehe.

It's your money, I guess, but I can get two GTS250 512Mb cards for those $250 you will be paying for one 9800GT.
When it comes to that kind of money I would personally take my chances online.
