Honestly, I think this thread is brilliant!! But images won't do much. If you want to show what that computer can do for this emulator, I suggest creating a video (youtube or something).

The fps needs to be shown throughout the video . have it in both SD and HD so all can view. post your computer specs (all of it and mention if its dual core, etc etc for people that are.... less computer geeky. even your hardrive).

Also, post your processes as well. Depending on whats running effects your pc especially an anti virus such as bit defender or mcafee.

I guarantee you, if you create enough info to convince people of how fast the emulator plays on that pc, the mods would be more then willing to make a sticky for it (I would anyway).

GO FOR IT!! Smile This would help me out a lot too.

EDIT: create different scenarios too. With speed hacks, without speed hack (if possible). Its would be a lot of work but It would be worth it. We would have hundreds of guest looking at your thread.

EDIT: ah, u thought of that already. I just posted this after u did. Good luck.

You played a 2D game with a bunch of speed hack on, kudos? Try getting something above 20 FPS in a 3D game like Ace Combat 4 with that system. You see sir, not all games are the same there is 2D and 3D, some are very hard to emulate with speed, some are perfect and get 10000000 FPS. The high requirements are to play all the current running games with decent ~ the best FPS you can get for the current state of the emulator.

ok,thats beacuse i use a special revision,i already told that, anyway i think im gonna make a vid so everybody can look it with your own eyes.

You still can't convince me:
1.I didn't use only official builds I too used "special" versions too but still that speed was impossible
2.On the first screens you're showing us a pcsx2 window that is running at 640x480 window mode but your settings are for full screen
3.Why only the CPU window is not in English
4.There's absolutely nothing special about your settings.

What are you saying? That 2D games don't take a lot of juice? That is incorrect sir. There are a lot of things that effect the fps and I must say that a fighting game seems to take a lot of fps, especially when it comes to animation. But since this came up, it would be nice to make a vid on both something like ace combat and naruto.

Also, I found this... Not sure if it would be helpful or not especially since the emulator already displays the fps.

What is the selected Frame limiting option under CPU Config? It's not in r1888, so I don't know what it is, but is it something similar to frame skip? Because that would also 'fake' the FPS reading if it's skipping frames.

It's old removed option...VU Skip

It was the predecessor to the VU Cycle steal option... it's not exactly stable and you got quite a lot of glitches/errors except in a very few rare games.

If you use Cycle steal with frame skip, you get almost the same effect (and the same kinds of graphic glitches)

With VU Skip set at that and X3 EE Cycle rate, I can guarantee you the FPS readings are 99% wrong. Use FRAPS, record a video with the FRAPS FPS meter and then we'll see what kind of real speed you're getting Wink
Still interesting, we DO want to know how low end systems perform, but if you're gonna do it, do it properly. The FPS meter with all hacks on and FrameSkip/VUSkip is NOT reliable, so you'll have to use FRAPS to get the real FPS.
Also without posting the exact SVN build you are using, it's pretty much worthless. The PCSX2 build is decisive to the speed you are getting...hope it's not some modified stuff.

@ Bositman

All right,i will follow your rules, but actually fraps can make my fps drop by half.
And the pcsx2 version i use is the vtlb version.Edited:Cant make the vid using fraps, the game slows down like hell, maybe can i use my cellphone video camera to take it?
