Memorycard issue - Persona 4 - Mikkuru - 01-15-2009 08:08 PM Hi! I'm running the latest Playground build and having issues saving my game in Persona 4. I'm nearly finished with the game and was thinking to transfer the save game file to my PS2's actual MC. Well, I had used savestates thus far, not the MC save. When I tried to save to the MC, it gave me a "No memorycard found in slot 1" -error. Then it made a apparently corrupted savegame. When I tried saving again over the corrupted save, it gave the same error, but it apparently saved differntly this time, as I can see my playtime, level, etc. If I return to the game title, I can load the game, but if I check the MC from my bios, it has only corrupted data and system data. Alast, I'm unable to export the save file from the emulators virtual MC. I tried a quick search, but didn't find solution. IS there even anything that can be done about this? RE: Memorycard issue - Persona 4 - Zeydlitz - 01-15-2009 09:16 PM Known issue, read here: http://forums.pcsx2.net/thread-2387.html?highlight=atlus BTW. Try 3 times at the same slot RE: Memorycard issue - Persona 4 - Mikkuru - 01-15-2009 09:22 PM Didn't help to save 3 times, but thanks for the link to the other post. Like I said, I can load the save data in game, but it shows as corrupted in the bios' browser when checking the MC, thus software like MyMC can't export the savegame from the virtual MC. RE: Memorycard issue - Persona 4 - Zeydlitz - 01-15-2009 09:30 PM This slot SHOULD be brocken, Sio implementation of pcsx2 is far from be perfect. And if save at the same slot 3 times does not work, you should to format memcard from bios. RE: Memorycard issue - Persona 4 - Mikkuru - 01-15-2009 09:43 PM How can I format it manually? The bios does not present such an option to me, even if every file on the MC is deleted. BTW; the 3 times saving was recomended for Persona 3 so it might not work on Persona 4. RE: Memorycard issue - Persona 4 - Zeydlitz - 01-15-2009 10:30 PM It's work :-). Run bios, then select BROWSER, select memory card and if it non-formated, it would have an option. So for reformat you should delete memcard file and than use browser-format. And if save at the same slot 3 times does not work, you should to format memcard from bios. As Mikkuru said,it's not a problem to save the game but transfer the saves. The pattern is the same as for Persona 3 that's true, after the 3rd save attempt the game IS saved even though it reports an error. The problem is that when you enter the bios and select the memory card the saves from Persona 4 appear as corrupted data. For the sake of the suggestion i got a clean unformated mem card file, did a format from the bios, loaded up the game, saved it and went back to the bios to check the save and again it's corrupted data (even if it does work ingame). So...yeah,I too can confirm that P4 saves are reported as corrupted data in the bios even if they do work ingame... It doesn't bother me personally since I don't transfer any saves but the problem exists. -------------------- All fixed in SVN636 RE: Memorycard issue - Persona 4 - Beliar - 01-26-2009 05:29 PM This bug has been fixed in the newest revision (636). Now you can save from the first time and the save file is not corrupted anymore, so you can now copy it to your ps2 mc. Just tried it, finally works. |
