I want to ask if this at the right place,it's about Turbo(autopilot?) Controller.

Currently I'm using PS3 controller.Thing is,I want to make "autopilot" play.I mean,in FFX I want to boost Karma damage for certain character. Each kill will add to 100 damage, total max of 99999.

So,I wanna do that at the arena. As if repeat pressing circle button in result fighting Dingo over and over again, only by pressing the circle button once.

Any idea?

Most of PS2 games have an aspect ratio of 4:3, except for some which support widescreen mode (16:9). I see that Gdsx plugin has an option that allows the user to choose either native PS2 resolution or a specific user defined one. What does it affect the images if I specify not a 4:3 ratio, 1024x1024 for example? My onboard graphic card is kinda crappy, so I cannot test it myseft 'cause if I select DirectX Hardware, my laptop will freeze immediately.

In fact I play on a real PlayStation 2. But I want to test all ultil I am affort to buy another laptop for mobile-gaming (I mean playing PS2 games anywhere). I have some questions regarding aspect ratio on PS2 too. That is, I've used OpenPS2Loader to load Final Fantasy X PAL from my USB flash. I hate the International version of FFX, since it's menu is in Japanese language and it is NTSC -- Never The Same Color. The PAL version's color is much truer indeed, and all text is in English, but I don't know why the aspect ratio is 16:9. From so far I know, PAL television contains 625 lines of resolution (4:3), compared to NTSC's 525 (so the aspect ratio is 16:9). My console is SCPH-90006, imported from HongKong. HongKong is PAL, and my TV is PAL as well, and of course I'm using PAL version of Final Fantasy X. But the aspect ratio is 16:9, as if you set aspect ratio to 16:9 and then play the game in the 800x600 resolution on PCSX2. The image is horizontal stretched with 2 black bars at the top and bottom of the screen, it makes me crazy. In PCSX2, Final Fantasy X PAL runs at 4:3 ratio perfectly.

I have the same problem when playing Final Fantasy X-2 PAL on PCSX2. My NTSC disc works well, but I also encounter ratio problem with PAL version. I set the windows resolution to 640x480 and aspect ratio to 4:3. The game runs at 4:3 resolution as normal, except for the FMVs. All full motion videos run at 16:9 (I can see the black bar at the bottom of the screen), and I don't know why. Is there anybody who have played PAL version of FFX and FFX-2?

I've been searching around the site and not having much luck so I figured I'd ask. I've been playing Dark Cloud 2 from ISO. I have to run from the ISO to run at a normal rate, I have the game but I guess my dvd drive isn't cool enough. So from the ISO I have normal fps and sound. Gameplay works perfectly. I'm having a lot of issues with extra characters in the text, the item screen is a mess. I've tried messing with settings in the plugins and what not but nothing seems to be helping. I'll try to post some links to screen caps of the problem and some of my specs.

Basically, I have a pretty poor computer, I wont lie, but with speed hacks and frame skipping its running fast. One of the problems though, is that cutscenes don't take up the whole window in windowed (not sure about fullscreen), half of it shows black, or game geometry of what I saw before the cutscene.

Second of which, I got to the thunder plains, and I get into a battle and no battle menu appears, and I cannot flee either. Did I rip my Bios and such improperly, is it because my bios are japanese? I don't understand.

I can recommend this videocard to anyone who is looking for a new one
with directX 11 capabilities for an acceptable price.
At first i was content with the performance until i noticed a drastical
drawback: the PCSX2 emulator runs horribly with the new card.

The general performance of the emulator suffers greatly since i have switched the videocards. Even at the startscreen of tales of the abyss the performance drops below 50% and so do all other games i have played.
I noticed that the performance allways drops below 50% when some bloom-effects are shown like the window in the startscreen at TotA.

There were no problems like that with my old 8800 ultra, which could handle the entire game with 100%, and i think that it is strange that my new 5850 cant handle something my old ultra could.
I already tried several things like playing around with GsDX but it didn change anything at all. I hope you guys can help me with this one.

Hello.
I configured my PCSX2 following the configuration guide completely, or at least as well as i could. The BIOS files don't have % marks next to them, which i believe means they work?

As soon as i start up the game, i just get a small black screen and the fps counter says i'm running at 60fps with 0% cpu usage. I have it set to run at fullscreen, which is why i'm confused.

I'm using the SSE v3.0 CPU plugin because of my CPU.
My specs:
Q6600 @ 3.1ghz
4gb DDR2-800
Radeon HD 4870
Windows 7

Thanks for any help!.

Hi

I just tried recently MGS3 again with a new beta (2756) and noticed something weird. During the opening there are several parts when the game slows down. Now, this wouldn't be surprising since it's incredibly demanding. But, neither the EE-Core nor the GPU score in the title showed a usage of around 99%. So, what exactly is the bottleneck in this game?

Information:

4.0 Ghz Clockspeed I5
EE Core Usage and Graphic were both at around 55-60%
No speedhacks activated
It slowed down to around 35-42 fps during these scenes.

Also I brought my clockspeed down to 3.6 Ghz but noticed the exact same behavior. (EECore was around 80% that time though)

(I don't ask for support, but I'm interested in the cause)

Hello!

It's been a long time I am trying to setup PCSX2 to show me a "genuine" picture. I mean I try to set GSdx's D3D internal resolution the way it doesn't resize/resample the frame and show it exactly as it is.
I am talking about the sharp edges of polygons - the way they look on PC without antialiasing.

Is it possible?

I know I can set 1024x1024 resolution with a multiplier of 6x, but it's slow and doesn't look sharp (also this is not antialiasing (or multisampling), it is supersampling, which works by rendering into a big frame buffer and then shrinking the frame to a viewport size).
