Hello,

Im using this BIOS for years now and realized now that it is corrupt. I found it out, when I saw a video on Youtube with an European v2.00 BIOS on PCSX2 config.

My BIOS is mentioned in PCSX2 as "Japan v02.20(10/02/2006) Console"
But it should be: "Europe v02.20(10/02/2006) Console"

It begins with problems in executing BIOS by entering the Configuration-menu in PCSX2. To enter smth. you need normally the "x"-butto, but I have to push "o" and the fonts are screwed up, where should be written: "Version" & "Enter"

Second problem is, that I can't run games without the "Enable Skip BIOS-Hack" setting. It just shows me the golden PS2 Disc in browser and when I click it, the screen goes black (no PS2-Logo!!!) and returns to browser with the golden PS2-disk again.

Now WHY Im writing this:

With this BIOS I cant start "ICO" -> The screen remains black, when I start the game. But I know that it works with an another BIOS, where all mentioned problems dont exist!!!

I dumped it already 3 times. 2x over usb-dumper and 1x over ethernet. Its always the same problem. Is there a special BIOS-Dumper out here? Becuase 90% of all BIOSDump-Utils dont work with PS2 slim.

hi,

I currently have a USA bios - can I play a NTSC game with it? Does NTSC region mean Europe or something?

when I searched for compatibility on http://pcsx2.net/compat.php?c=search it shows only U version of Metal Gear Solid 3 - Subsistence is playable and the E version (I'm amusing NTSC) is not fully comparable.

How could I find a NTSC bios, I don't have that. Any suggestions?

Hi all,

This is my first post here, I couldn't find anything about this, so anyway:
I downloaded the latest beta to play FFX, and everything was perfect, but then my system abruptly powered off, as if the power cable was pulled out. It didn't turn back on after that - I knew it was because the power supply was fried, likely due to the demands placed on my processor, despite the fact that I have a pretty decent machine. Anyway, it has been replaced, and my system is running fine again.

What I'm wondering is, has anyone using this had it happen to them before? I'm 99% certain it was because of PCSX2, since nothing of the sort has ever happened before, and I was playing it at the time.
Also, if PCSX2 is the cause, would you say that I shouldn't chance it again? Thanks!

My specs, just in case:

XP SP3
Intel Core 2 Duo E6850, 3Ghz
2gb of DDR2 800 Memory
ATI Radeon HD3650 512mb

I noticed when I press escape to load a different image, the plugins halt, so it's useless.. Is there a way around this? I'm probably just not looking hard enough. :x

I just tried running the first image, then going into the Cdvdrom settings and changing it to the next image, then running -> executing, and the first image is still running. So either that's not how it's supposed to happen or the second image just isn't working properly..?

Yea so I installed and got my game and tried running the pcsx2. However, everytime I try to start, run cd/file It pops up game screen with nothing, telling me to add a game cd. And normally, by checking guides, its supposed to pop up a screen where I could choose what game img I could pick to play. In this case, it didnt. Just me? Help please.

First of all, thanks for your support ; )
Second, my specs:

AMD Anthlon Dual Core QL-64 2.10GHz (lap)
3.00GB RAM
Windows Vista 32 bit
Graphics: NVIDIA 8200M G

I am using Pcsx2 0.9.6, currently trying to reach 50-60 fps in FFX, I hope it is possible with my specs.
For the graphics plugin: ZeroGS, worked much better than GSDx for me.
Gigaherz's CD/DVD plugin, with ISO made out of MagicISO, mounted with MagicDisc.
CPU: All defaults
Speed Hacks: x2 Cycle rate ( only thing checkmarked )

I started off with trying to use VU Skip, and the speed gets nicely to 50-60fps, but many of the characters/sprites get choppy and start appearing/disappearing as i walk/stand. Cinematics have no problem at all, and the battle sequences get a bit choppy too.

What I am attempting to do is to keep the speed VU skip does, without getting it choppy.

Right now I got my fps up to 40 without getting it choppy. (Without VU)
If i enable VU, the fps gets to 55-60, but then the characters and other sprites begin disappearing. I read various threads here, but I didnt seem to find anybody with my problem. I do not know if they tried VU either.

Thanks for replies
