Hi,

I'm trying to use SPU2-X r2207 1.3.0, but whenever I try to use the 'test' button in the configurations menu I get the "SPU2-X System Message: The driver test failed. Please configure different SoundOut module and try again"

The sound output I've tried in the configurations with Xaudio 2 and DirectSound and I get the same message.

Using SPU2-X 1.1.0 I don't get this problem with either DirectSound or Xaudio2.

Is there something I need to update? Everything else in PCSX2 works fine for me but this one plugin version.

First of all, thanks for your support ; )
Second, my specs:

AMD Anthlon Dual Core QL-64 2.10GHz (lap)
3.00GB RAM
Windows Vista 32 bit
Graphics: NVIDIA 8200M G

I am using Pcsx2 0.9.6, currently trying to reach 50-60 fps in FFX, I hope it is possible with my specs.
For the graphics plugin: ZeroGS, worked much better than GSDx for me.
Gigaherz's CD/DVD plugin, with ISO made out of MagicISO, mounted with MagicDisc.
CPU: All defaults
Speed Hacks: x2 Cycle rate ( only thing checkmarked )

I started off with trying to use VU Skip, and the speed gets nicely to 50-60fps, but many of the characters/sprites get choppy and start appearing/disappearing as i walk/stand. Cinematics have no problem at all, and the battle sequences get a bit choppy too.

What I am attempting to do is to keep the speed VU skip does, without getting it choppy.

Right now I got my fps up to 40 without getting it choppy. (Without VU)
If i enable VU, the fps gets to 55-60, but then the characters and other sprites begin disappearing. I read various threads here, but I didnt seem to find anybody with my problem. I do not know if they tried VU either.

Thanks for replies

I just started playing with PCSX2, and the first game I wanted to try out was Grandia II. I've really got no idea how to configure my plugins, and right now I'm using:

Graphics: ZeroGS 0.97.1
Sound: SPU2-X 1.1.0

I was able to start up the game, I mounted the image with daemon tools lite and ran it. The stuff that was like full motion video, such as the opening video when I made a new game, ran a little slow and the audio was kinda lagging and the sounded was kinda dragging out, almost skipping.
Those are my video and sound settings with the plugins I'm using. If anybody could recommend changes to make to get rid of the skipping sound and slowed down video I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

So I've been trying to get this emulator to work properly for a while now and I just can't get it working, hopefully you can help me out.
I have an .iso of the game Dark Chronicle, which seems to be working properly, but when I run it from PCSX2 it boots allgood, until it gets to the Memory Card / Disc screen (browser) and says DvD player is not set up.
I've followed the setup guide through, twice, extremely closely, and everything is set-up as it should be, but it still doesn't work.
Also, when I first boot it, it is extremely slow, that initial screen takes about 20 seconds to cycle through, and the sound is extremely bad.
Any ideas? I would be greatly appreciative.

Hey all, I've been playing WA:ACF on PCSX2 for a while and I get good FPS, and it runs very smoothly for me with some minor graphical bugs but one thing has been bugging me, there is this, "screen flicker" going on, I don't quite know how to explain it and I can't really take a picture of it. The graphics just seem to kind of "vibrate" or shake a little, especially text boxes or menus. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Here are my graphics settings, please let me know if you need anymore information.

hi everyone.

i don't know if the problem has already been posted:

running a game in direct3d10 (or 11) with the latest gsdx plugin shows strange "lines" across the screen

example:

as you can see there's a black line over the 50 hz word. if you look closely you see also vertical lines over the "e" of "currently" and the "(" of "PAL (50Hz)"

the lines show up also during the gameplay and that is pretty annoying

note: running in direct3d9 the problem doesnt show up

p.s. i have windows 7 x64 and latest beta and plugin (dx and visual 2010 updated). card is hd4670 and cpu phenom2 x4

I'm starting to play the game. As long as too much scenery doesn't get rendered I even get decent speeds using gsdx-1873 and pcsx-r1888 without any speedhacks (turning them doesn't seem to do a thing).

But I got two graphical issues problems. One I think is what people refer to as ghosting (although I'm guesing here), I see like a fuzzy colored aura around the characters. And the other thing is the vertical colored stripes that are annoying. I think I've read somewhere that you could edit a file with some coordinate and fix some of this (sorry about being vague but I can't remember the file name). So anyways I was wondering If there was anything I could do?
Thanks for any help.

I got a problem with this game, everytime I enter to battle, the game lags until the point of almost freezing my computer in last revision of GSdx (2190), I compiled myself the file. But If I use GSdx in 0.17 the game runs fine (a lot of graphical errors but the speed is 60fps almost all the time in native resolution xD) Also I notice the emu ate almost all my RAM in battles using GSdx 2190
