The intro-screen works (at ~60Hz), I get sound and I can select 'new game'. It starts to load, but then it crashes with a segfault (when at 50% loading).
I've tried setting options differently, but I have no idea where to start.
Do you guys / girls have any suggestions?

Hi guys, I'm not new to the emu scene, but I have never tried to run anything like PCSX2 on my Mac.

MBP - 2.4GHz Intel C2D, 2GB DDR2. MacOSX 10.5.8 (Leopard, not "Snow Leopard")

I think I've got everything operational, I've dumped the BIOS from one of my two PS2s, I've configured the plugins (as far as I can figure). I have one of my PlayStation2 discs in the drive, and when I go to Run - CD/DVD, I can run the PlayStation "OS" but get no audio, and it does not see a disc to run.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello all --
Pretty much a newbie, but I'm encountering an error that no one else seems to have. Everything seems to be working fine, except that the game never loads. I am left with a white screen every time.

this is what I'm seeing:

# Initialize Start.
# Initialize GS ...
# Initialize INTC ...
# Initialize TIMER ...
# Initialize DMAC ...
# Initialize VU1 ...
# Initialize VU0 ...
# Initialize VIF0 ...
# Initialize IPU ...
# Initialize FPU ...
# Initialize User Memory ...
# Initialize Scratch Pad ...
# Initialize Done.

And then, like I said, nothing. Just a white screen. Thoughts?

Thanks!

EDIT: Also, the game is one of my own, I attempted to run from the disc and it was stuck at "initializing user memory," but when I created an .iso file it seems to load fully (though not really because of course I still can't get the game to load).

I've got my Bios and my plugins folders set, and the right graphics plugin set up
However, whenever I try to Run->Execute or open a CD/DVD image, I get the error
(The permission thing made me think that maybe I needed to change permissions on the cfgcdvdiso file, but even with all permissions set to read and write, still the error)

sorry for a second post in two days. I've gotten both Kingdom Hearts and FFXII working however, there is massive reverb on the sound from both of them. though this does make KH's opening sound way cooler, it completely wrecks FFXII's opening. thusly i was wondering if there is an updated sound plugin that is available for mac. the only ones i've found were only compatible with windows, unless i misread them.

my other plugin question is both a question about controllers and the accompanying plugins: which controller and plugin combo would you suggest to get full effect from pcsx2.

Hello everyone!

I have a question for you... I have a MBP Intel with Leopard 10.5.7 and I have installed and follow carefully the steps posted on the Official Guide of this forum. So I know I'm okay on that part.

But, right before the X11 PCSX2 Configuration window pops, I guet this two errors: "Can't create gslog.tex" and when I hit "Ok" the next error pops up "GSinit error: -1" then I hit "Ok" and the X Configuration window appears, but then again, when I test everything (and have the bio files) and I hit "Ok" the two previews errors pop up again.

Is there any solution for this problem? Thank-you in advance.
