I have the same problem...
I'm using latest beta 1329 and gsdx1425, PAL versiong of the game
I don't have any speed hack enabled, game always runs at full speed. Framerate drops sometimes in cutscenes.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to play MGS3: Subsistence till morning. I've tried few speedhack and advanced settings tricks, but not goes well ingame and codec sequences. Well... I know my specs is not that recomended, but I WANNA PLAY MGS3! I REALLY DO! Laugh

Here are my specs:

HD3850 256 MB
2 GB Ram
And the most important part:
AMD Athlon 4400+ 2.3 GHZ

I'll be waiting for any suggestions.

By the way; God of War is really goes well. The problem is frog, some climbing bugs all over the game. It's faster than PS2 on this rusty PC

...

then you'll have to play it on your ps2. mgs3 is one of the most demanding games for pcsx2, even with the recommended specs you''ll need speed hacks for stable 60fps. try the latest betas of pcsx2 and plugins (gsdx/dx10[hw]/native/no vsync/fullscreen/8bit textures on-off) and crank up the speed hacks, but don't expect any wonders for your fps.

If I can get it around 20-30 FPS, it'll be pretty enough for me. On Win XP SP 3 using with GSdx 1476 SSE2. In windowed mode, and native resolution.

but 20-30 fps will make the gameplay run at 33-50% speed of the original. ok, it's not a pure action game, it's a stealth game, but there is still a major speed difference between a snake and a snail Wink

I've hardly tried and finally got it work 40 FPS. It's still slow... Think I have to do something about my processor
