God of War 1 & 2 looks playable

Hello there

Recently I started playing Gow on my PC. I have PAL version, so I had to apply "skip MPEG" patch. With that the game ran almost perfectly. Actually I,m on the Desert of Lost Souls level. There is a video when the second horn dissapears and a bunch of sirens ambushes Kratos. After the movie, the game hangs 0.o. I had to apply the skip patch again. Everything worked, and the fight starts, but when I kill all sirens, screen turns black and hangs. I know there should be a cutscene when the horn reappears. I can go into the menu and tune some powers but nothing more. Is this a known bug? Or maybe something with my config?

pcsx2 0.9.6 and r1138 compiled myself
gsdx r1076 SSE4.1 Dx10
SPU-X 1.1.0
Lilypad svn (r1034) 0.10.0
Gigaherz's CDVD 0.7.0
Other nulls
European BIOS from SCPH-70004 console
Default config, tried with speedhacks off

Any help appreciated I used the forums search, but no effect.

i did it too.
actualy we didnt need svn1059 and gsdx 1076 or 1076m for finised to gow1.
we need official pcsx2 0.9.6 and pacth the post 191.
i tried and working (ntsc dvd9).
official pcsx2 0.9.6
gsdx 890 0.1.14 dx9 hardware 1920x1080
linuz iso
spu2-x

I did it!
Finished the Game!/GOW1 of course/

My game SCUS_973.99 /dvd9/ This is the best release from the Pcsx2!

First time:Use the Toxic DL patcher in your ISO!
The first problem is the white screen after the Kratos clone fight!
I use this patch -> Post: #191 /only SCUS_973.99 works/ and the
white screen to disappear!
The second problem because the patch enabled the last video freezing!
I use the Skip Mpeg patch in the last video,and i can finished the game!

guys can someone give me simple step by step guide on how to patch God of War 2 iso to skip Perseus cutscene and all the bad cutscenes? I'm a noob and i'd really appreciate it, I used prafull's patch and it only got me past Theseus cutscene, I've tried everything conceivable from loading a memory card save game to switching off and on widescreen, disabling, re-enabling the patch, restarting the entire game without using any save states whatsoever but it still freezes at that point

Actual shots are 2560x1600 internal and it's playable at that rez, I just use 1920x1920 to reduce flickering since 2560x2560 is kinda slow

you're joking, right? these must be fake screenshots because no one can get such a resolution without experiencing a graphic bug that shows everything doubled and blurry

Ok so the patch says:

gametitle=gow
comment=prafull's highly experimental patch

what changed you later or in that patch in order to see the final video?

Nothing changed!I skip the last video /before freezing/ from this method/patch/:

1. enable patch in the emu settings and start game from run cd/dvd, load from the memcard
2. play when the hang movie is playing(if you enable this before the movie playing, some trigger bugs will happen!)
, push "esc" and select misc->patch browser, click "skip MPEG" button and OK, then the movie play code patch is added.

3. select the new patch enable(once enabled,disable will be useless unless restart the pcsx2), edit PlaceToPatch to 1(1 to skip and 0 to no), run->execute again, then the playing movie will end.
4. after skipping the movie, you must recover PlaceToPatch to 0, or else fatal Bugs will occur!
that's the way to end movie instantly

look for gsdx 1076m but only use them for GOW 1/2, they introduce some other very minor bugs sometimes.

After defeating the hydra and entering it's mouth i must save the captain or take his key with R2 buttton, but when i press it nothing happens. The dude just stands there. I've tried to map it to diferent buttons to the pad and keybord with no result.
The problem is with version 0.9.6 and the latest beta.

I've tried Lilypad 0.9.9 and SSSPSX and when i press button asigned to R2 notning happens. Maybe it's the version of the game i've got.
