And here is the download for the drivers

{32 Bit}<======

{64 Bit}<======

I could not get this solution to work. Windows told me the program was incompatible and blocked it from running.

"As far as I know, you have to get another bit of software to use it with bluetooth reliably. This adds rumble and motion sensor support as well, but is only available for x86 platforms."

Sorry, I must have missed this.

How is it possible to add rumble and/or motion sensor capability on x86?

Windows 2.0....wasn't that released back in the mid 80s? Don't you mean 7?

I think it means "PS3 Controller on 64-bit Windows" and the 2.0 version of that. Not simply the 2.0 version of "Windows."

That was a rather erroneous question lol.

Yes, I had a guide for a different solution that required installing 3rd party boot software...which I was never comfortable with. This method gets everything working right (minus rumble) and eliminates the need to install 3rd party boot software to disable driver signature enforcement on every startup.

As for the bluetooth/rumble features, I believe that the program you need for that is called BTsix. Last I checked, the devs for that software were starting to charge for parts of it.

First of all, my apologies for bringing up this topic but I need some help. Ah, and thanks a lot KrazyTrumpeter05 for this tutorial.

I did everything by the book explained in your instructions, the video and the readme, but for the life of me I can't make the DS3 to work on the PC. The PS3 controller is recognized in all apps provided and by Vista X64 itself, but the buttons just don't work, even in the Vista x64 built-in calibration utility.

All I get is the "1 2 3 4" red leds blinking.

I didn't understand quite right if the "sisxaxis64.exe" is for Win7 only but I tried anyway. All I get is an error message saying "the app failed to start coz it's side-by-side config is incorrect"

I'm using pcsx2 beta 1474 and lilypad r1388 0.10.0 on Vista x64, as I already said.

Any help will be much apreciated... Smile

Did you install the thing from the very first link? sixaxis64.exe needs Visual Basic or else you will get that side-by-side config error.

What's the easier solution, bandage106?

I'm 100% sure a have Visual Basic installed. If I hadn't, i couldn't install ATI drivers and Catalyst Control Center, since a have a 4850...

I'll triple check and let you guys know how it goes.

Thaks for the help Smile

Er, the thing in the first link is Visual C++ express, not Visual basic. Oops!

Of course it won't work unless you Disable Driver Signature Enforcement and don't read too much into the tutorial it's pretty simple.

Driver signature enforcement is always disabled on my machine. It's why the solution in the first post works so nicely.

Hi,

I'm thinking of trying this, but i was under the assumption that one didn't have to disable DSE.

Also, I'm assuming that after libusb-fixed is installed, that you just run the sixaxis64.exe and it should work? Is the second set of instructions only if it fails?

Thanks!

p.s. i just finished a new build and don't really want to mess anything up already. IF libusb disables my ports, all i have to do is uninstall it via ps/2 and it's as if nothing happened?
