0.9.6 slower than previous versions?!

when i try to run games using the new build of pcsx2 it runs slower for me than earlier versions for example ff:x and i tried different speed hacks , does this happen to anybody else??
or can anybody suggest things that might make it run faster??
my specs :
2.4 intel dual core
2 GB ram
nividia geforce 8600 GT
vista

all i could get is that i need a new CPU even though mine is 2.4 x 2??

that's not 2.4 x 2 , it's only 2 cores running only at 2.4GHz (not 4.8GHz)

Update your direct x first of all (using the web updater)
Then,check native and uncheck texture filtering in GSdx (for maximum speed). Then enable some speedhacks (although these can break the game). Go to advanced and hit default
That's about it. 0.9.6 is way faster than the previous releases too.

I didn't talk about compatibility,I talked about speed. And tekken tag tournament works here just like on the older versions

NTSC U/C doesn't work on 0.9.6 (fully anyway) there are stages that crash pcsx2 instantly.

Yeah and I said just like on the older versions. Meaning with crashes in certain stages,that's why the status is ingame.
