[0.9.9.5222] Red Dead Revolver Crashing
#1
Question
Read dead revolver [NTSC] Keeps crashing on Level 3 intro cut scene, Every time no matter what settings I choose.

PC specs:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5 2500K 3.3 GHz (4 core)
Memory: 8192MB RAM (DDR3)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 480 (1.25GB)
Operation System: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

PCSX2 Settings:

The game was running fine before that, Perfect 50FPS never went down at all.

I have googled but came up with nothing for a game crash in this. Anyone have any ideas?

have you tried an older build? the last official release?

A little off topic here, you had a Sandy Bridge processor, better use SSE4.1 version of GSdx...

I cant see any SSE 4.1, only SSE4 and SSE4r-5221. tried with both, Crashes still :/.

if its a proper cutscene, i guess you could enable the skipmpeg gamefix in the more recent build and see if that helps

Skipmpeg does work unfortunately, But i have got the errors here that come up in the console on crash, If that helps:

Hardware:
Unrecognized MMI OP 73737373 (LOADS more of these aswell, Different Codes)

Software:
Trap exception at 0X00499544

Running in software mode gives me enough time to skip before the crash though, But it runs like a slug after.

Also, Off topic. Software mode seems to make the game brighter and more like the real thing compared to hardware:

Hardware: http://www.kennyiststudios.co.uk/1.png

Is there anyway to make hardware do the same thing?

Sorry I didn't tell you earlier, SSE 4.1 was abbreviated to SSE4 or SSE41(in my case) in GSdx Tongue

hmm, can you change the EE Recompiler to Interpreter, just before the point it crashes, then see if it still crashes then?
