1.4.0 wont open (Windows 10)

i downloaded it today and tried opening (both normal and as admin) the program does not open any windows nor load anything at all.

im running a i5 6590k, GTX1080, and with 16gb ram.

on other machines 1.2.X used to work so i thought of nothing different. any help>?

Did you install vc++ 2015 x86 resist ?
Do you get any error message when starting pcsx2 ?

no error messages.

installed vc++ 2015. did the repair option and still nothing. it doesnt open at all

EDIT: do you know if updating to anniversary edition breaks it? this is really baffling. ive rebooted the pc and dont fresh installs of both VC++ 2015 and 1.2.1 seems to work so its only 1.4.0 thats not working

I run 1.4.0 and latest git fine on win10 AU. I clean installed it and reinstalled pcsx2, unsure if upgrading to it makes a difference

Did you install the 32 bit version of the visual c++ libraries?

Update to the Anniversary update of win 10 didn't break my already working pcsx2 install..
