3 minute startup crash

After correctly booting, the word "playstion 2" will appear then it will go the bottom of the screen and the bottom half of the word will be offscreen, if that happens roughly 3 minutes later the game will crash and there were no messages in the console when this ocurd, it would be a windows message that sed "pscx2 has stoped working", despite rebooting it a few times the bug persisted (this happened with 3 games), however after leaving the system alone for a while i tried again whithout changing anything the "playstation 2" intro word remained centered, maybe 8 minutes later it would crash again,rebooting it one more time would result in no crashes for the current session, the next day the same would happen again, this has been going on for the past 4 days.

Im using windows 10
Laptop: Msi 15.6

PCSX2 0.9.8 is over six years old. Try using PCSX2 1.4.0 (The latest stable build) or 1.5.0 (The current development builds) and see if the problem persists.
