50% chance that pxsx2.exe git crashes on startup

No crashes while testing the WX3 build. Tried at least 20 restarts, so that build seems to have resolved the issue.

The results of the other build show the following:

Quote:(pxEvtQueue:LoadCorePlugins) Posting event! (pending=0, idle=0)
Opening MainFrame
(pxEvtQueue:LoadCorePlugins) Executing... [Cancelable]
Opening Debugger
BreakpointButton
MiddleBook
SetBackgroundColour
eeTab
CtrlDisassemblyView

I suspect the debugger window has some error in it that causes it to crash on construction randomly.
Wx3 could've improved on some aspects of that so (while still wrong code) it doesn't cause a crash anymore.

I guess the important thing to figure out is whether the bug takes place in wx2.8 code or pcsx2 code.

Can you test http://turtleli.unospace.net/pcsx2_again.7z ?

(For reference, builds correspond to https://github.com/turtleli/pcsx2/commit...gger_crash if anyone has an idea on why it's crashing)

No crashes when testing this build.

Late reply! Better than never I suppose.

I have no idea on this. The last build I only added Console/Emulog writes yet that stopped the crashing. The debugger window construction looked okay to me, and I don't think it's ever crashed there on Linux so I assume it's fine. I can only think it's some weird race involving Windows 7 64-bits, wxWidgets 2.8 and something theme related.

If the random startup crashes come back on the latest git builds then maybe I'll take another look.
