50% chance that pxsx2.exe git crashes on startup
#1
I got a problem with pxsx2, when I try to start pcsx2.exe the program crashes. If I keep trying after closing the windows crash message, it runs fine around 50% of the time.

10 tries, 5 crashes
1 runs fine
2 crashes
3 runs fine
4 crashes
5 runs fine
6 runs fine
7 runs fine
8 crashes
9 crashes
10 crashes

The problem happens with all latest git builds since several months. System: Win7 x64, GT555M, latest Nvidia drivers. Stable versions of pcsx2 never crash on startup.

emulog.txt after crashing:
PCSX2 1.3.1-20150606000552 - compiled on Jun 6 2015

I've never had any version of PCSX2 crash on startup except with insanely unstable overclocks

Something is probably wrong on your system side, I can't reproduce any crashes.
We're supposed to be working as a team, if we aren't helping and suggesting things to each other, we aren't working as a team.

If it crashes reserving memory you have no free memory. Does the crash give any details?

Since all stable versions and other emulators run fine, it seems to be a problem with the way recent pxsx2 builds reserve memory.

i have the same problem if i use the Aero theme. works just fine if i use the classic theme. must have something to do with hardware acceleration.

Yup i have exactly the same problem, stable build works every time with every theme but the svns like to crash at start up with aero.
I hope this can get fixed it's a bit annoying having to start the program a few times till it decides not to crash or having to use the (bit bland) classic theme

There was an win xp thread where the OP had the same issue since it doesn't have Aero.
