You'll have to experiment with the hacks yourself, and 60FPS is running at the same speed that the PS2 would run at if your game is an NTSC version. PAL games run at 50FPS.

hmm,, how can I know if my game is PAL or NTSC anyways?

You see the cover, it notes if it is NTSC or PAL.

You can also check the % value that is in brackets, next to the FPS. Eg. if it says 60 FPS (100%), then it's running at normal speed, and is NTSC, whereas if it says 60 FPS (120%), then it's running faster than normal, and 50 FPS would be 100%, meaning it's PAL.

Only way to really speed it up is to upgrade your hardware once everything is tweaked.

You may be able to get a boost of 5-10% via advanced options and speedhacks, but nothing substantial enough to go from 50% to full speed.

Also, some games will run better than others.

I can play Growlanser 2 & 3 and Arc the Lad: ToTS (so far) at 100%, but Star Ocean 3 onlly runs at about 63-70% and Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence only runs at 45%.

Once the game is running and tweaked, it's a live with it or upgrade scenario, at least with games that others have already been able to get at 100%.

Maybe you can get 100% on Phantasy Star Generation 1.. I remember getting 100% on it with my old 3ghz P4. And that was 2 years ago, nowadays Pcsx2 is much faster.

hmm,, lets see... You guys have different percentage of FPS according to games am I right? Well to be honest, I AM RUNNING PCSX2 WITHOUT A GAME, and having 50%, I think my laptop has very low specifications on hardware Sad
