A guide to using steam for pcsx2 controller support
#1
Hello and welcome to my brief yet comprehensive tutorial on how to set your controllers up with steam and pcsx2.

First off ensure steam is installed, and that that steam is the only program running. (We can’t have any other software like DS4Windows)
Open steam and select the white square in the top right corner to open steam big picture mode

Enable Playstation or whatever non Xinput controller you're using. You can enable Xbox support if you want custom mappings from steam. Back out and close Big Picture mode to return to the desktop client. On the bottom left click Add game. Add non steam game. select browse and look for and select pcsx2 to add it into steam.

Start pcsx2 from steam. THIS STEP IS IMPORTANT! Start a game in pcsx2 and watch for some steam indicators in the bottom right. (Thy will look like blue rectangles that appear) Then press ESC to close the game and return to pcsx2.

Open Lillypad, on the main page and uncheck Direct Input support. Select pad 1, bind your controls normally. One final note. You may have to restart pcsx2 to see the bindings properly take effect.
