AMD Open GL stopped working after upgrade to Fedora 26
#1
I was running Fedora 25 and playing games fine with the Open GL Hardware render. After I upgraded to Fedora 26, the graphics became a scrambled mess. Screenshot:

I have a AMD RX 470 using the open source drivers. There is a “buggy driver” error when PCSX2 launches:

Code:
Opening plugins...
Opening GS
glX-Version 1.4 with Direct Rendering
Buggy driver detected. Geometry shaders will be disabled
Buggy driver detected, GL_ARB_separate_shader_objects will be disabled

I thought is might be a 32 bit driver issue and tried to install:

Code:
xorg-x11-drv-amdgpu
mesa-libGL.i686
mesa-dri-drivers.i686

But they were already installed. Can anyone help?

Output of “rpm -qa | grep mesa” in case it helps:

Code:
mesa-libEGL-17.1.5-1.fc26.x86_64
mesa-filesystem-17.1.5-1.fc26.i686

Could you try a more recent PCSX2 (GSdx actually) version ?

Edit: GCC.7.0 and GCC.7.1 are buggy.

Oh wait, actually it is maybe the GCC bug. Do you know which compiler was used to build GSdx ? Maybe you can have this information in the plugin selection panel.

I think you are right. GCC 7.2 might fix the problem which is coming out soon.

Don´t want to bring bad news, but the fix for mentioned GCC BUG[0] is actually backported to Fedora´s GCC 7. See changelog[1], version 7.1.1-2 from Fri May 26 2017.

Anyway, I´d try to rebuild PCSX2 on F26 if I were you (I have it running just fine on HSW, I can try RX 480 in a few days.)

Anyway, 1.4 is now quite old. You should first try a recent version.
