its not the SSE that makes the majority of different though.

even with SSE4.1, AMD would be (Is in bulldozer) much slower compared to intel at the same clocks.

Sad, isn't it?

I knew alot of friends who were totally going "Bulldozer will own PCSX2!" before release.

Then release came. Bulldozer did not only not own PCSX2, it's actually worse than the Phenom II line in it. AMD has two things to answer for, ***** performance and raising Intel's prices.

if the cpu wasn't requiring FMA to make up for shorcomings in its SSE/AVX.
