I knew alot of friends who were totally going "Bulldozer will own PCSX2!" before release.

Then release came. Bulldozer did not only not own PCSX2, it's actually worse than the Phenom II line in it. AMD has two things to answer for, ***** performance and raising Intel's prices.

Someone (refraction?) said FMA could provide a nice boost since the EE uses it.

if the cpu wasn't requiring FMA to make up for shorcomings in its SSE/AVX.
