Hi guys, I need to know if my processor supports AVX or not. Help is appreciated. Smile

System Specs:

System: Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 32-bit
RAM: 4.00 GB
Processor: AMD Phenom 9500 Quad-Core Processor 2.20 GHz

AVX is for now an Intel only Instruction set and you only get any profit from it by running games in software mode, since that's the strong suite of that specific Instruction Set.

AVX is supported on the newer AMD FX chips.

That's why I'm typing for now Wink I know that the x300 FX from AMD also have AVX Smile

AMD got AVX instruction set support ever since Bulldozer, basically. Intel is currently on AVX 2, and will move to AVX 3.2 soon.

Wow I didn't know there was something above AVX2 already. Lol it seems like since AMD finally caught up to their instruction set they are like "Well, time for some new ones!"
