Ace Combat 5/Armored Core
#1
When I play Ace Combat 5, the FPS drops and jumps around at 30-90 FPS [With no limit] and it's kind of weird to have my plane touching the ground but then I went through the ground. Sometimes my missiles past the enemies aircrafts.

When I play Armored Core series like The Last Raven, it lags time to time dropping to 40 FPS which gives me enough lag for my controller not to react to my commands.

I tried using the pcsx2-5218-windows-x86 from SVN and using different GS plugins, speed hacks from safety to mostly harmful and every kind of renderer and there's no difference.

Gran Turismo 4 is insanely slow for some reason, every setting I done makes no difference.

do you have the MTVU speedhack enabled? if not, that'll help your speed greatly Smile

As for the Ace Combat collision, this is a known bug, not much we can do about it that i know of Sad

Right now its this

Even though I changed Hardware/software DX9-10, it makes no difference.

Uh, a bit OOT but svn5229 said to do something with AC5/Zero's collision detection. Have somebody tried it?

Yea, the game is still broken though. We still don't know what's wrong.

Well, that's fine I guess.

What about the other games like Armored Core series, Dynasty Warriors and Gran Turismo 4 ?

I thinks that your problem is the grafic card, or you already buy the 550 ti?

So you're into Gundam games maybe? I own Journey to Jaburo, Encounters in Space, and Federation vs Zeon, they're all pretty fun.

As for Gran Turismo I don't know much - I wasn't a big racing game player back then.

I also have Armored Core 2 - Another Age, and it was fun. Have you tried it?

I looked at the AC Wikipedia article and was surprised by how many AC titles there actually are : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armored_Core

Many of them I never heard of. Maybe the ones I don't know weren't released in the states.

I own most PS2 AC titles (except AC2 and AC3: SL) and most of them works properly. I recall Last Raven needs to be played in GSDX9 (in Software mode if I can remember) in the older SVNs to prevent from crashing.

Also, have you tried MTVU speedhack?
