After SVN 658 Tekken 4 is returning slow
#1
Hi. firstly I want to thanks all the coder for the incredible works they're doing on the Playground projects. Smile
So here the question. I've tryed SVN 658 and it fix the issue I had before on Tekken 4. The game now runs perfectly fullspeed 60fps on my rig!! Great!

But, after trying recently SNV, T4 is suddenly returned to its previuse status of emulation. Ie: full speed during "intro" "movie" maded by the graphics engine, but slugghis/slow motion during game play, even if it shows 60fps on graphics (I sue GSdx).
Sorry If I've made a stupid question, but after some search I haven't found any answer to this issue.
Anyway to sum:
svn 658 = Tekken4 perfect
after svn 658 = Tekken 4 back to speed/slow erratic emulation

I just tested it and the game is working fine. You must be using VUskip, frameskip or some of the EE/Iop hacks which often have that effect, which is normal.

Thanks for the help. I'll check.
Anyway I just check, my settings are:
CPU:
EErec recompiler - on
VU0rec - on
VU1rec - on
MTGS - on
Frame Limiting : limit

Speed hacks:
x3 cycles. - on
Enable IOP x2 cycles rate - on (maybe it's this??)
WaitCycles Sync Hack - on.
Misc. esc - on

Advanced option:
all default value.

no Game fixes actived.
I'll try some different setting Smile

Speed hacks:
x3 cycles. - on <--that is it probably. You can always disable and check....
The game gets a good speed boost with denormals are zero option in the VUs which doesn't add bugs like the EE/Iop hacks do

Yes, that's the problem. After checking "Speed hacks":
2x cycles. - on
Enable IOP x2 cycles rate - off
WaitCycles Sync Hack - off

I got a full speed Tekken 4, very smooth.
Well, question is why cycles x3 give worse results than cycles x2 ?? Blink

Because it's a hack...and the x3 one is very unstable.
