Amala Temple Glitch in SMT III Nocturne
#1
While playing SMT III Nocturne I encountered a glitch similar to the one described in this thread:

https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-SMT-Noct...der-Glitch

Basically when I enter the Amala Temple there is a cutscene that is supposed to trigger as soon as you get to the middle of the first room like this:

https://imgtc.com/i/d4Yi7Gd.png

However said cutscene doesn't trigger for me and just like in the thread with the ladder above all the doors can't be accessed anymore effectively trapping me in there:

https://imgtc.com/i/4slE6BW.png

There should be a pop up saying "press x to open the door"

I tried the things recommended in the posted thread but none of them worked so any help regarding this similar glitch is appreciated.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):
[code]

I had a LOT of problems with the stable release of PCSX2 on the fan translation of Nocturne Maniax Chronicles (the Japan-Only version with Raidou Kuzunoha instead of Dante). Most of those were related to GSdx however (OpenGL Hardware mode specifically). Turns out the stable release had an interesting bug that caused walls to become transparent to light rays. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the beta release fixed this issue, I've heard about a similar issue while I was trying to figure out why I was seeing light rays through walls, and supposedly a later release or a beta fixed that. I forget which. Either way try the beta, it might fix the issue.

Did you tried all rounding/clamping values?
Reply

I tried all values yeah.

Also just downloaded the 1.5.0 versions and it fixed all the graphic glitches that occured with the 1.4.0 version, game was running more fluid as well.

The Amala Temple Glitch is still occuring however, I fear it might not be an emulating issue which means there is no way to fix it.

tried without patching your game ?

Tried but it can't use the save file.

Rip

Maybe future revisions solve the problem.
