Any Tips for Arcade Stick configs? (nightly)

Using my Mayflash Arcade Stick with default controller settings appears to activate the PCSX2 menu and do a bunch of undesired actions such as toggling fullscreen off or pausing the game when pressing the O button.

Anyone can guide me on proper configurations? It's probably something very simple but i'm just very dumb.

(Something to keep in mind, my Mayflash has the start button sharing input with options and menu)
