Any plans for Appimage or Flatpak support?

The RPCS3 team have moved to Appimage for their distribution allowing one single binary that works on all versions of Linux.

I have been using it myself and it appears to work very well with no noticeable performance loss.

Is it feasible for PCSX2 to adopt a similar packaging method? Whilst building from source isn't a major problem it does mean that on some distros their are package conflicts due to having 32bit and 64 bit devel packages that this option would eliminate.

PCSX2 is already available in flatpak ( https://github.com/flathub/net.pcsx2.PCSX2 ).

You can install it from flathub:
Code:
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
flatpak install --arch=i386 --from https://flathub.org/repo/appstream/net.pcsx2.PCSX2.flatpakref
