Any suggestions to get PCSX2 running more smooth?

probably you don't allowed hacks in GSDX add this to the text file called GSDX.ini in the inis folder in PCSX2 directory :

allowhacks= 1

and you will fin a surprise in GSDX configuration window

He/she using latest SVN, no need for this... It's already inside plugin settings...

Go to Config -> Video (GS) -> Plugin Settings

Tick Enable HW Hacks

Click Configure beside it, you'll find the hack inside...

I checked all of the menus and I am not seeing it (sorry to bother you with a menu issue Dx). I tried under video (gs) I got a error message and I restarted PCSX and it went away.

Ok got it now...

EDIT 2: I tested the game with the settings advised (including the skip draw thing) and I got the same results... it will run slow but if I press F9 I get 57-60FPS but the screen is black (with random parts of the video showing up (like in my other image)).

ok you have a rare situation were SW render is actually less compatible ...

and did you try from 1 to 10

like putting 1 , apply , see results ,putting 2 , apply , see results .........

1 - sound gets messed up some what - video same result (black)
2 - same
3 - randomly crashed (reset emu. > ... > same)
4 - same
5 - same
6 - same
7 - same
8 - same
9 - same
10 - same

So any more ideas? :/

Seems like nothing can fix it though other than running in Software which you just did by pressing F9...

Or maybe PCSX2 coders got better suggestions, you should wait until they online and post something...

Well the outlook from the thread you linked to never really got a resolution :/

tried the ZeroGS plugin, same blackness (no change). Well I have run out of ideas, maybe this will resolve soon, but I can't be too sure.

EDIT 2: I just swapped out the old video plugin for ZeroGS (testing now...)

Just stick with SW mode if had enough patience...
