That's another similar statement, even if more credible. However, without exact steps to reproduce, preferably with logs of full/fast boot which show the problem, it's unlikely to get much attention.

The games which I tried do load the patches also in full boot. I'm not saying that the problem doesn't exist, just that I still can't reproduce this. And second best after being able to reproduce is logs. So, logs please which show the problem.

@stranno:
If you want german try adding this to the patch, and use Fast boot:
patch=0,EE,002486d8,word,24020004

Edit:
You can also try with these (one at a time).
patch=0,EE,002486d8,word,24020002
patch=0,EE,002486d8,word,24020003
patch=0,EE,002486d8,word,24020005
If they force frensch, spanish whatever, post it here.

I'm trying to get some credible info about cases where pnach files are not loaded in full boot, here: http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Any-way-t...-full-mode

So far none at the team has encountered this issue, and it seems you have ( http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-PCSX2-Wid...#pid281417 ).

Any chance you could post some logs at that thread of full and fast boot of a game which only loads pnach files on fast boot?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, that was 2 months ago and I can barely really remember what my set up was then...
I think when I tried it again, it worked, so it might have just been some random occurrence.
...

So, if anyone is able to reproduce this issue, logs would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

@avih: After some testing I think it's more BIOS related than a PCSX2 problem.
I have 2 versions: PAL 1.60 and PAL 2.00 (both legal).
Dsic detection doesn't seem to work to work with 1.60 causing PCSX2 not to load any patches or CRC hacks. (2.00 works fine)

Here are the logs (full boot):
1.60:

Maybe some can test if this happens with NTSC versions as well or its an PAL only problem?
Tested 5-6 Games always the same results, only BIOS makes a difference.

Well, that would not be surprise, games for another region might be blocked at BIOS stage. On real PS2 the games don't work ever.

Well, I just tested MGS3 Snake eater (PAL) with EU 1.60 BIOS, and indeed, while everything is fine in fast boot, in full boot the pnach file doesn't load, and the game CRC is not detected, and the log console title shows that pcsx2 thinks it's at the bios, even after we're past the bios and already within the game.

Now we have something to work with!

Good catch Grove4L! thanks Smile
