Any way to record only audio?
#1
I have been trying to record some gameplay from PCSX2 but I can't get the audio to show up in Shadowplay. Shadowplay is an excellent recorder and I get great video from it, but no audio. I know pressing F12 in PCSX2 will bring up a recording pane but it's extremely laggy and inferior in every way to Shadowplay, except that it captures audio. Is there a way to just record audio using the built-in recorder or maybe a way to get Shadowplay to see the game and record the audio?

I tjink avih just fixed an unexpected behaviour regarding recording. If you use an older version of pcsx2 as 1.2.1 you can press f12 for recording and then cancel in the next dialog. Video capture will not work but sound still will be captured until you stop recording.

It is fixed in the latest git revisions.

This kind of worked, but the resulting .wav was corrupt. Tried it several times, always corrupted. However, apparently Shadowplay is detecting audio now so I don't need it. Thanks anyway!

You could record audio and video and then just throw it into a movie editor and remove the video.

The built-in recorder causes a significant slowdown.

There isn't a non-shadow play recorder you could use? I'm not familiar with all the recorders on the market but I'm sure you could find a decent one.

Shadowplay is the best as long as you have a supported nVidia card. No performance hit, perfect quality.
