Anyone found a way to run AC games beyond default resolution?
#1
As the title said, this is for Ace Combat 4/5/0.

I can't seem to get it running beyond default resolution without getting weird texture glitches and vertical lines, iirc this is caused by the engine which doesn't play nice with PCSX2.

This is the setting I'm using. (5820K 6c/12t, render threads 1+11)

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows how to fix the problem.

First things first, update your PCSX2. Either get 1.4.0 from the website, or the latest developer build from here.

Ace Combat 4 only seems to run properly in Software mode, so there's no other method available for now.
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @ 3.60~4.20 GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3200
MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Super @ 6 GB | Samsung 980 1TB | Windows 10 Pro x64 (22H2)

Ok, installed 1.5.0

So there's no way to run AC4/5/0 in different resolution?

You can remove the vertical lines by turning on HW Hacks and enabling the Align sprite hack in the (Config - Video (GS) -) Video Plugin Settings menu.

But the ground textures can't be improved, that's a mipmapping issue and it'll be a while before that will function properly in hardware modes.

Without knowing how pcsx2 + individual plugins was coded/built originally, probably never.

It will require someone who knows what (s)he's doing to really focus on just that for a few weeks at least(depending on how much time they have to spend on it), so don't expect it this year.
