i'm strolling mint 14 (with mate). on home windows i just set the inner resolution to 1920x1080 and it runs first-rate and quite, even directly from my ff12 disc. on mint, i introduced the ppa and set up it, but i can't pretty get it right - it's constantly so darn ugly! have to procure a few pointers on what plugins to use and a way to configure it?showbox speed test

Are you really using mint 14? If so, first point would be to upgrade to the latest release, or use another more recent distro, because Mint 14 went out of support in 2019 I think.
