Anyway to deal with V-Sync without the massive performance hit?

I'm using Windows 7 64-bit, it's in my sig, and it's stated above. I don't use any EE / IOP speedhacks, they're all @ 1, so my frame rate isn't being improperly stated. Also when I do 120FPS, everything doubles, speech, movement, ect, so I am def getting those speeds.

However, I turned Aero on, and yeah...I get no tearing, and the performance drop isn't as much. However I hate everything about Aero, even if it's not a performance hog or anything, just the way it works is annoying, I much prefer basic, but it seems for when playing PCSX2, I should turn it on.

This Monitor I've also had since 2008, so no, I can't trade it in. It's not great, but hey, it works: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6824112011

Was a fool buy made in 2008, when I still didn't know much about Monitors.

you should use aero whenever possible, most video related apps use DWM for vsync these days and many games suffer performance hits with it off.

I use MPHC + MadVR & LAV and all that, and it's fine without Aero since I use Exclusive Full Screen mode with it. Didn't really think any games suffered performance losses with it off. I know it's not a performance hog, either, but didn't thinks ran faster with it. Still hate the style of it though. Everything feels less responsive in Aero to me.
