What version of pcsx2 do you use?
What plugins and what settings?

Got a mate with problems with this one and I'm stumped

What problems do you get? With what settings? Any screenshots?

Latest beta works fine with either D3D10 or a (Software) renderer.

Well I tried the emulator ver I use which was 0.9.6 and I got the crystal graphics

Then tried his which is 0.9.7 (I think he's using D3D10) which just lags alot
Could it be his processors fault? I think it's a Intel Core 2 Duo

Will post back more settings and info when I get in touch with him today

I am the person he is referencing. My problem is an excessive amount of lag in the introduction, during video clips the sound and actions are not synchronized, the sound is crappy, when I battle it lags, I have it set to 70 FPS but it only gives me 10 - 35 FPS.

Here are my computers specifications.

Because they are not direct links to the images but links to the uh.... gallery or something, fixed.

Set this to defaults, it's not gonna help for this game and it's probably what's giving you the most desync.

Setting the graphic renderer to software will be the most compatible yet slowest mode, Set it to Direct3D10 (Hardware) instead which will still be a bit glitchy (mostly the fog effect) but will be much faster.

You didn't show any ingame screenshot or the EE/GS % numbers or your grpahics card so guessing right now all I can say is try using some speedhacks for more speed.

Thats the graphics card.

I can't really show a screenshot of lag per se.

When I did your suggestions this happened

After the introduction (which flickered like a seizure) the screen went black. And it said their was driver compatibility issues

jaguarphd:
The biggest issue is your computer, which is too slow to render the game at full speed.
I see no way for you to speed it up enough, sorry.

Background:
- The onboard GPU can't render fast enough for hardware mode.
- The CPU is missing a couple hundred MHz.

I just searched it and I think I found a possible fix

http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-arc-the-l...ht=spirits

What is your opinion of this plugin?

How do I get it? I read a guide on here but it said something about compiling.

Try it and see for yourself.

Your only real choice with GSdx is either Direct3D9 (hardware) which will look pretty bad or the (Software) renderer which will be too slow with your PC so there's not much to do there.

See what happens with ZZOgl or just keep playing it in your PS2 instead.

I don't know how to do it though. I already read the guide but I am new to this. They said something about compiling but does anyone have the stuff already compiled?
