Assertion Failed in function GSreopen

I am trying to use pcsx2 on my ROG ally (Z1 Extreme), and while playing spiderman 2 i the game crashes on the chase black cat mission everytime. 
I'm using version 2.0.2

Error says: Assertion failed in function GSreopen. Failed to reopen GS on old config.

Nobody on reddit has any response.

I got this same error message today. its repeatable, every time I use Shion's Lock shot ability in xenosaga 3 it crashes with this error.

changing the renderer from automatic to direct3d 12 fixed it for me. just odd it started happening today when ive been playin the game for a few weeks now.

i am playing on an 8840u, which isnt much different from whats in the Ally, OP might try doin the same
